Recipe: Sloppy Joes with Mango Salsa

There is truly something wonderfully fun about getting to eat a sandwich that is messy by design. Sloppy Joes are a long-standing family favorite, and it’s not hard to see why!

Made with simple ingredients and ready in a flash, these flavorful lunch or dinner sammies can quickly feed a hungry crowd, making it the perfect meal for busy days or weeknights. They are quintessentially kid-friendly, and with a mango salsa topping upgrade, we couldn’t help but love these Sloppy Joes with Mango Salsa from Walmart – all of the delicious flavors of the traditional, but without the guilt! Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef and onion in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until beef is crumbled and no longer pink, 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. Add tomato sauce, molasses and chili powder and simmer, covered, about 5 minutes until flavors are blended.
  3. Meanwhile, stir together salsa ingredients.
  4. Divide beef mixture evenly among bun bottoms, top equally with salsa and close with bun tops.
