Ashanti’s Latest Single Gets Better with Water

Drinking water powers everything we do, like running, talking, tweeting, and—if you happen to be world-famous singer Ashanti—even winning Grammy Awards. Starting today, water is also helping bring Ashanti’s new single, “Let’s Go,” to life.
 
In a first of its kind program, fans can help fuel “Let’s Go” by using the hashtag #DrinkUpAshanti on social media. Each use of the hashtag on Instagram or Twitter acts like a drop of water to help unlock the new single and music video, which start out low-fi and stripped down. The more digital water drops, the better the sound and sharper the video become.

“Let’s Go” will be released on DrinkUpAshanti.com in four phases, from dehydrated to hydrated. The video will transform from a black, white and gray color scheme to a richly colored palette featuring vibrant flowers created by the aggregated tweets. After using #DrinkUpAshanti, you can go to DrinkUpAshanti.com to find your handle in the video and see which part your hashtag brought to life. Once fully hydrated, the complete song will be released for sale on iTunes.
