Healthy, convenient and portable, smoothies are ideal fuel for breakfast, an afternoon snack or dessert. They also make it easy to eat healthy with nutritious ingredients, many of which provide important protein, vitamins and minerals to keep your day on track.
This Triple Melon Smoothie from EatingWell Magazine is an easy (and incredibly delicious!) way to incorporate some fruit into your AM routine. The watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew are ripe and sweet, while the avocado adds creaminess in this vegan smoothie.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup chopped watermelon
- ½ cup chopped ripe cantaloupe
- ½ cup chopped ripe honeydew melon
- ¼ cup diced avocado
- 6 ice cubes
- Squeeze of lime juice
Directions:
Combine watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, avocado, ice and lime juice in a blender. Puree until smooth.
