Recipe: Honey-Glazed Almonds

Ah, Valentine’s Day … the perfect time to recognize the exceptional people in your life who make a difference. So today, give something straight form your heart: a special homemade treat. If you go nuts for your special honey(s), then these Honey-Glazed Almonds are the perfect delight – a savory sweet snack that would also make a great gift for your special someone!

Nuts are a kitchen staple and make for a great snack that actually fills you up rather than leaving you craving more. Not to mention completely versatile: they are perfect on their own, mixed into yogurt, or combined with oats to make homemade granola. And because these homemade spiced nuts are made on the stovetop instead of the oven, they will be ready in a jiff, leaving you more time to indulge the extraordinary people in your life.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the almonds in a medium nonstick skillet; cook over medium heat for 6 minutes or until lightly toasted, shaking pan frequently. Combine the remaining ingredients in a 2-cup glass measure. Microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds. Add honey mixture to pan, and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Arrange almond mixture on prepared baking sheet in a single layer; let stand 10 minutes. Break apart any clusters.
