Making Waves

Ready to see how water is helping young surfers achieve incredible things? Round 2 of Quiksilver’s King of the Groms surf competition is underway and things are heating up. Good thing they’ve all got H2O to power those killer surfing moves! Water inspires these young surfers each and every day and helps them stay on top of their game.

In this round, the remaining 30 groms will each put together a one-to-two-minute hype clip showcasing their best surfing, using music and graphics provided by Quiksilver. Clips will be on Quiksilver’s website and the public can vote on their favorite from September 16-30.

Check out some of the awesome frontrunners like 14-year old Tane Bowden, 17-year-old Vitor Mendes and Dean Vandewalle, a 13-year-old originally from Ghent, Belgium, now living in Costa Rica. His eyesight is bad, so he surfs in specialty prescription eyewear. But that doesn’t stop him from tearing it up on his board. For more information, check out www.quiksilver.com/kotg.
