1. If you were stranded on a deserted island, and only one vegetable grew on that island, what vegetable would you want it to be?
Bell peppers — in every color, please!

2. What is your healthiest habit?
I love green tea. I’ll sip on unsweetened matcha or green tea all day long.

3. What is your go-to nutritious breakfast?
Right now, I absolutely love chia pudding. It’s healthy, filling, and deliciously healthy enough to eat dessert for breakfast ;).

4. What are the 3 items that are always in your fridge/pantry?
Arugula, Greek yogurt, French beans, a fresh block of parmesan — and we always have a French Pinot Noir ready to crack open.

5. What is your favorite workout?
Pilates. It’s the only thing I’ve ever stuck with.

6. Who is your fitness hero?
My grandmother, who swam the lake every single morning before breakfast (rain or shine!) from the first day of summer to the first day of fall.

7. How do you take your water – sparkling, flat, over ice?
Plain old tap.

8. What is your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate cake with unsweetened whipped cream— it’s just the ultimate treat. And the odd Coca Cola (with lots of ice!).

9. What is your healthy eating philosophy?
Eat what you love, but keep the foods you know you’ll over-indulge out of the house! For me, that’s chocolate ice cream. If it’s in my kitchen, I know I’ll get my hands on it eventually (and eat the whole container!).

10. What is your go-to nutritious family dinner dish?
Vinaigrette-braised pork chops with roasted veggies, like Brussels sprouts, green beans, and asparagus. My husband is an incredible chef (my nine-year-old son Grey, is getting there, too)!

11. What is the best health advice you’ve ever received?
Eat your veggies first — they always taste so great when you’re really hungry!
